Mitt Romney is Really Running for President!

Dear Readers,

It's official! Mitt Romney is running for President in 2012! Hooray!

Here's the video where he announces it. Watch it and join Mitt Romney's team! Your life will be better if Mitt Romney is the next President! Believe in America!

Seriously, the way things are looking, and the way polls are going, it doesn't look like any other Republican has as good of a chance at beating Obama. Ron Paul is too kooky. Donald Trump has too much baggage. Sarah Palin is too polarizing. Mike Huckabee didn't do as well as Mitt Romney last election. Michelle Bachmann doesn't have enough experience.

Mitt Romney 2012!!!

Sincerely,
Telemoonfa

How does Mitt navigate through the RINO haters (like it or not, he still has RINO reputation to a lot of people) and the evangelical Christians (who are reluctant to vote for a Mormon) to win the Republican nomination?

The answer to your question is education. Mitt and his supporters need to educate voters. I think the more people look into Mitt's records, the more they will feel confident that he is the man for the job in 2012. We need to ensure evangelical Christians that Mormons are Christians. And we need to ensure the RINO haters that Romney is not a RINO.

During the primary election, I'm sure there will be a lot of evangelical Christians who won't vote for Mitt just because he's Mormon. But if Mitt makes it to the general election, those Christians would be crazy to vote for Obama over Romney. Romney is clearly more Christian than Obama is.

Now, as for the RINO haters, um... I think what's going to happen is what happened in AZ CD 3 last November. There were a bunch of true blue conservatives running for the open House seat, including Sam Crump and Pamela Gorman. But then along came Ben Qualye, who was inexperienced and RINO-ish. He was also loaded with a bazillion dollars of his Dad's money. (Ben's Dad was the Vice President.) All the RINO-haters split their votes between a bunch of good conservatives, and Ben Qualye ended up winning both the Republican primary and the General election.

So... I think there's going to be a bunch of good Republican candidates running, but not a single one of them is going to have the money and the establishment support to overcome Romney.

Mitt Romney 2012!

I will say, though, that Mitt Romney has a really hard job ahead of him. The national debt is outrageous, and the government needs to be severely limited in scope and size. I hope that when Romney is the President, he lays about a third of government workers off and cuts about a third of the programs. I'm just throwing that fraction out there. I do have fears that America is doomed, and I do have fears that Romney is crooked. After all, he is a politician. But I'm doing what I can to undoomify America. And I've got to support someone for President, right?
